The LCN Door Closer 4111 FL is known as the Smoothee, and is one of the heaviest duty door closers made, the FL stands for Fusible Link. The Fusible Link is a lead clip that melts at roughly 115 degrees, and releases the door so it can close and contain a fire. If you have a building were you have a high traffic and abusive, especially exterior doors, then this is the closer. The 4111 is an application specific closer, meaning it will only work when mounted on the door, on the push side. This is known as a parallel arm application. The cylinder is fully adjustable and will work on doors up to 56" exterior door, and can be adjust down to ADA required levels.
